The SF Renegades softball team was re-born on Sunday, March 2, 2013 as the team stands united and voted to move forward, together! They play in the SFGSL (San Francisco Gay Softball League) and numerous tournaments throughout the year. The SFGSL is open to all people.

The SF Renegades was originally coached by the beloved and SFGSL founder, Jack "Irene" Mcgowan. There are 5 players on this team that played for Jack over the years and are excited to bring back the Renegades. Oh, DearHeart, you're still missed by many.

The 2012 team comprised of a group of guys that hadn't played together before. After a rocky start to the season they have come together as a team and went undefeated since May 12, 2012 (Mother's Day) and run-ruled the last 5 of 6 teams they played during the regular season and ended up with a 10-4 record. They placed Second in the Lower C division during the regular season. They became First Place Champions by winning the SFGSL, Lower C divison playoffs in July 2012 and 2 weeks later won the Lower C division at the Joe Cooper Memorial Russian River Classic Tournament.

For the 2013 season they will play in the Upper C division.

They are sponsored by The Lookout Bar, Show Dogs.
